MarkMelon is a client-side markdown editor built by Ranjan Kumar. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains how MarkMelon handles your data.

MarkMelon does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. The application runs entirely in your web browser. No information is sent to any server.

2. Local Storage

MarkMelon may use your browser's local storage to preserve your editing session. This data remains on your device and is never transmitted externally.

3. File Uploads

When you upload a markdown file, it is read and processed entirely within your browser. No file data is uploaded to any remote server.

MarkMelon loads the following third-party libraries from CDNs to provide its functionality:

These CDNs may collect standard web request data (such as IP addresses) according to their own privacy policies. MarkMelon itself does not control or have access to this data.

5. Cookies

MarkMelon itself does not set or use any first-party cookies. However, Google Analytics (see below) may use cookies to distinguish users.

MarkMelon uses Google Analytics to collect anonymous usage data such as page views, referring sites, and general geographic location. This helps us understand how the site is used and improve the experience. Google Analytics may use cookies and collects data in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. No personally identifiable information is collected by MarkMelon through this service.
